Mark-Paul Gosselaar was born in Panorama City, California on March 1, 1974. Gosselaar began his career with several guest appearances on shows, such as The Wonder Years and Charles and Charge, before taking over Saturday mornings as Zack Morris on Saved By The Bell. After the success of Saved By The Bell, Gosselaar spent years trying to break out of the Zack Morris image. With 1998's Hyperion Bay, Gosselaar showed a darker side with his character Dennis Sweeny. Several television movies followed, leading to such roles as Detective John Clark Jr. on NYPD Blue and Richard 'Dickie' McDonald on Commander in Chief. Gosselaar used some of the boy charm that his character Zack Morris is known for to win Lisa Ann Russell's heart. They married in 1996 in Mauii, Hawaii, and now have two kids that will soon be running the halls of a Bayside wannabe.
